As some of you may know, I am supplying my JRPM River Rescue boat for all of the Region 12 races. We need to make some modifications so that the boat is fully capable to handle any situation during races. I spoke with John Soares about helping with the modifications to the rescue boat. He is more than willing to do so. He has built a few of the booms that have been used on other rescue boats. We are utilizing the boom from the Boston Whaler but have to make some modifications to fit the Glencoe. Here are some of the things we are looking at right now. I am hoping some of you may know some people that can help out with the items we need. We are planning on doing the mods next week to make sure the boat is ready for the race at Brawley on February 14.

1) We are looking at about $250 in parts and materials to do the boom, wet platform and lights.
2) We need a 100+ amp internal reg Alternator or have my big Alternator rebuilt and converted to internal regulated to handle the draw from the winch on the boom.
3) We need a group 24 or 34 Deep Cell battery for the winch ($120).
4) We need a big Capasitor for the emergency lights ($80).
5) We need one gallon of 3M Fiberglass Resin ($48).
6) We need one Rustoleum Epoxy Garage Floor Paint Kit ($60).

Give me a call to discuss these items that are needed if you can help.

Thank you
Jim

I'll bring this post to Roger Carr, our Region Director, this weekend to see if the clubs in R12 will help out. I know SCOA will for sure.

Any word from the other clubs in our region ? I have not even received a call from anyone wanting to help out.

All the items listed above are what we need, I know some of you have friends that know friends that can help us out with all these items.

I am thinking people who would respond have been at the National Meeting.

Try waiting a few more days

This is a quick responding reliable rescue boat for region 12. After Bakersfield I am taking the boat to JSR Motorsports. We will be fitting it with a boom. Now we still need the items I have posted in the first post. Our clubs and members need to step up and help out. I have invested quite a bit of money building it. Now I am making it available for every club to use. But there are things that need to be added to make it more efficient for what we are using it for.
What I am saying is if you have access to some of the parts listed or just have them sitting around donate them. Remember Team Rescue is there to save our butts, lets provide them with what they need to do the best job for us.

The boom is ready to be mounted, even has an electric wench. Reason for the extra battery and larger alt.
