Here is what the engine looked like when i first got it about a month ago....It came from florida where it was being used on an SLT.....Needless to say after racing in the surf every bushing, and the tiller were extremely worn....I completely dismantled it and bored and bushed every pivot point on it....with stainless and brass, wich is all greasable now........Now im onto the engine work

I'm gonna have to take a break after LOOKING AT all that. :D:) NICE WORK EXCEPT FOR DUST ON THE FLOOR:D
You might want to re-think the solid mounts for the shafthousing to clamp brackets. Suzuki and I think Tohatsu at one time came out with 'directional' mounts to keep most of the vibration away from the tiller. I remember thinking this was a lot of hooey until I changed out the first set. BIG difference. Looks great though. You have done a wonderful job.

Youre not the first person thats suggested that.....I have done the solid mounts on a tohatsu before, but honestly it was about 5 or 6 years ago.......Im going to try them and see if i like it. Plus they were free and the stock ones were shot !!
I was really trying to get out of it, but the person i got it from went a little overboard with the porting, so im re-sleeving it.....Man i hate waiting on parts :(:(
I think a few of the guys on here fool with these motors......anyone notice the flywheel....sans ring gear....lol
