Bought a '72 18' Thomson with a '72 Merc 115, it had been sitting out side for the last 10 years. I took it down and found it to bee in very good condition, no rust and all clean and shiny. The wiring how ever was another story. I pulled the wire harness apart and replaced all the bad wire sections. After putting it back together and trying to start it, it has no spark . I will check to see if there is 12 volts to the pack, if there is then what? Is there a way to check the pack and the distirbutor sensor with out removing them and heading off to my local Merc dealer ?
thanks

Thanks for that link. They had a CDI trouble guide for my 1973 25ss that I am chasing down an ignition problem.

jump 12V to the red and then the white, and you should have spark
