My only memories of this great american are when he rode into Manassas Va.with Roy Clark sitting on top of the back seat of a caddy holding a bottle of whiskey and a blonde. He was headed to the drag srtip to put on a show i was told.
I was at a 7/11 in that area , from then on i was a fan and watched the tv program whenever i could when it came on later.
Also he was on the Grand Ol' Oprey a yr. or 2 back and he sang just as off key as ever, God Bless
