Hi All,
We now have posted over at the QuincyLooperRacing.us web site approximately 250 old NOA (National Outboard Association) photos. All are from the Claude Fox collection and some of the photos appeared in the NOA's Rooster Tail publications over the years. The outboard racing photos date from the 1930's to early 1970's and you will find many famous racers are included. Names such as Fred Jacoby, Bill Holland, Dub Parker, Bill Seebold, Jerry Waldman, Dick O'Dea, Harry Brinkman, Ted May, Bill Tenney, Dick Pond, Marshall Grant, Dan & Mel Kirtz, Clyde Wiseman (Wiseco Pistons), Ralph DeSilva, Jack Maypole and many, many more.
Here is a small sample of the photos. To see the entire collection, go to
www.QuincyLooperRacing.us
Click on the Racing Legends tab, then Claude Fox's photo album pages 1, 2 and 3.
Outboard racing has such a rich heritage, and we are trying to do our small part to help preserve this special history for others to enjoy. If you can identify some of the boat racers or race locations not yet identified, please email us at QuincyWelding@aol.com
Regards,
Paul
