In the old days, they had Street Stock Enduros at Ascot Park. They paid a thousand to win and they bought your car at the end of the race for a thousand. The idea being, no one was to spend too much money on their car.....
Craig Nelson of Berg-Nelson in Long Beach (Craig raced MOD VP with his partner Mark Edmondson). Anyway, we used to sponsor Butch Gilliland in these Street Stock Enduros. Butch would paint Hill Marine and Berg-Nelson on the car...David Gilliland drives the Taco Bell NASCAR today, he is Butch's son.
This year when I heard they were having a Motorhome Demolition, I got Marlee Hill to call and see if we could sponosr someone.
We ended up sponsoring last year's winner, Bill Altfather...Billy drove well. The crowd loved him, We loved the event.
We'll be back next year. Here is a picture of the motorhome we sponsored, and here is the newspaper article about the "RACE"...Signature Propellers was shown clearly in the Orange County, California Register Newspaper...Cool, HUH???

Our motorhome was the only one to have a bike on the front and a spare tire on the back...Next year, we're putting an A Hydro on top[....
