hey guys
i have bought a old tunnel and i am wanting to stick to a retro theme.
i have been looking for a twister powerhead but i have failed to find one.
so i am thinking of hotting up a inline 6 as i have one that I'm not currently using.
is there any thing i can do to it to wake her up a bit?
any input would be greatly appreciated
cheers

Very little that can be done beyond getting a 1500XS or 1500. If you don't have a 150, you need so many parts from a 150 you might as well get one.

Boy, I just played a bit with a friends 140 that had some issues with transition from idle that several experts diagnosed as problems with labyrinth seals on the reed cages. I had some 1500XS reed cage assemblies around that were left over from the days we raced 35SS so I told him I'd put those in his motor. I can't believe how much the crank must be wobbling around in there. Old reed cages were worn at least 0.006 min and center was over 0.010. New reed cages also had oil drain provisions to better oil these surfaces. I didn't like the crank but its just a 40 year-old ski motor. If more oil is good for race motors it's good for fishing motors as well
