hey guys does any one know the size of the crack cap bolts on an inline 6 merc/mariner?

1/4 - 28 fine thread. I use a quality Allen head bolt there.

It's an Allen bolt. Takes a hex wrench.

OEM bolts were 1/4-28 with 1/4 12 point head.

Correct. I was unable to locate 1/4 " x 12 point bolts, so I went with Allen bolts instead.
