OMC Twin 15" mid questions

I have a 15" 50 hp twin. Will a 49 in or 56 in adapter fit my mid. I have it modded w/ a v6 clamp and trim. Also have small gearcase w/ 2.32 gears. Will 1.75 gears fit. My 50 hp powerhead may come available. Fingerported, 150 psi head. Big carbs, lightened flywheel.

The 49 or 56 adapter plates will not fit the stock 45 mid.

The 1.87 gears will fit in the gear case you have, the spline on the current drive you have will not work with a 49 or 56 powerhead, you will need the 4 spline driveshaft not the multi spline shaft you have.

Yeah. That 50 twin has a tiny, 14 splined driveshaft that looks like it would twist off at the first plane off. (They don't, however.)

Guess I will be looking for a complete mid. might just sell my little motor as a complete unit.
