I was wondering if anyone has tried running with the cab of the motor off, to let the motor breath better? Or has anyone ever used a cold can to make the fuel colder? If there is a benifet to running with the cab off, i was going to make a cold air intake with a k&n on it so i wouldnt suck in any dirt!

No, taking the motor cowl off won't speed it up any. The air inlet holes around the bottom are sufficiently large to let in more air than the motor can use.
Cool fuel can increase intake air mass - BUT - the fuel must remain cold all the way into the motor. The lines to the carb and the bowl have to be insulated ... as does the fuel pump.

My 225 Yamaha would pick up 200 rpm with the hood off.
