Need help figuring out what needs to be done to make boat plane off.
story from the beginning:
bought boat had 6: set back , boat was set up for ss but I had a ls. added 3" of height to set back plate.played with trim tabs, boat went from 37 mph to 41 mph . I was told motor needed more height. cut off 6" set back and installed 6" bob mini hydraulic jack plate.Added alot more cup to prop, took boat for run boat bouncing like crazy with motor completely on negative trim all the way down boat would not plane off. Came down on trim tabs took boat for run with motor in neg. trim all the way down boat planed off 37mph came up on jack plate 2" boat lifted increased to 40 mph. Begin hitting trim boat begins bounceing again and would not plane off when working with trim. Motor turning 6500 rpm, would I need to set the trims more downwards to make boat plane off or need a prop with more pitch and cup? Prop 14 pitch
