I have an 90s model OMC tiller. I need to rig up a trim switch. I am trying to decide whether to mount it on the tiller or somewhere on the right side of the boat. I like how Mercury and Yamaha have them where you can work them with your thumb, but I don't think I would be able to rig anything like that on mine.
What do you think about a blinker trim switch under the twist grip?

Does anyone know where to find one of these Yamaha trim switches for less than ordering a new one?

Thanks for the picture Detroit. I couldn't really see in the picture, but does the switch spin with the twist grip or is it fixed?

The tiller is a standard v4 tiller you used to be able to buy them from omc but not sure if bomb offers it anymore and the switch can rotate i have that one so the grip moves but the switch does not.sorry about the pic crappy phone cam

Thanks Detroit. I've got the same tiller. Did you mount the switch where the idle adjustment knob is? Mine doesn't work so I was thinking about getting rid of it and mounting the switch there.
