I met Meatball in 1977. He was and is close to Louis Collins, or 'LH' as Meatball calls him. Louis often 'passed on' rigs to Meatball, who ran them for a while then also sold them. EP, JP, I don't recall what else. Today, Meeatball is a very good friend who has a well-frequented outboard shop in Kingsland, he always attends the AOMC wet meets held there in April and Oct. Meatball, who recentlky informed me that he has a ca. 1963 Scott 45 to give me. is the one who told me about Randy Knodel. Later, I found mention of Randy's racing success in some old NOA Roostertails I have from the midl-late 1960s.
The photos are of John Murray at Kingsland AOMC meets, where he holds forth and recalls races from the distant past.
