does anyone offer exhaust modification or tuned replacements? merc lists different model and hp size exhaust part #'s, unlike hydrotec yamaha, the merc is harder to find aftermarket upgrades for, ive got the 50 i removed all the restrictive intake air parts, with 3 38mm carbs, and the top end is still restricted from the exhaust, the 60 for 2004 has 3 different exhaust choices from the jet to the option loaded model, im hoping someone might know more about higher end tuning for this motor

i'd run the plain 60hp, not the jet, not the big foot loaded one, plain. those seem to like the long tuna, they gots a lot of stroke:cool:

that is what i found, the same year pipe that dosent look much bigger, but has a lot of alternative flow ports, including larger ports directed out the back of the rear leg, more volume ported around the outside of the exhaust tube, i cut it shorter, and milled some shorter port passage, to exit quicker. i ditched the plate that sits above it, the mounting would require changing the whole cowl, the only option left unattended is the engine block ports, i still havent been able to test run the newest mods, hoping soon as weather will allow, ill post results.

it is part number 19655 1
thanks, that the same tuner thats in my 2000 55hp seapro.i think they maybe all the same on the 55/ 60hp motors.i searched that part number and its superceded ,the new one is 8M0045214.you would have to see one side by side to see the difference.probablly they will be different from short shaft, long shaft and jet but be basicaly the same shape.
