Merc new style controls to old style engine?

I have a customer who brought in an old POS with new style (8 pin barrel) controls and has a 77 Merc 115 with the big 7 pin wiring harness. I know theres adapter harnesses but this guy doesnt want to wait. Does anyone have have a wiring diagram to do the conversion?

Yes, there is an adapter harness to connect newer, round 8-pin plug controls to the older 90degree angle "cobra head" engine side connector. Mercury sold it and www.CDIElectronics.com still sells it.
