Ive seen these on youtube
they look like a tree been dug out neatly with a chainsaw by a red indian.
seriously though
they look pretty neat, but no where near as fast as some think they are though.
there is talk of one doing 70mph, but when you look at the motor and prop its totaly impossible.
When you look into the place that makes these you can see a lot of work goes into them.
a lot better built than you might think
proper craftsmen make these boats, not plastic moulders

Strip boats look great & are a good method of building. It can be done on a permanent frame or temporary removeable in some smaller craft. A pal built a canoe this way with epoxy resin, very time consuming.
Speed is easy to imagine but hard to really get. At about 50-55 the air comes in as a major player of resistance & control [or lack of]. At 70 the boat has to be right or it isn't gonna make speed or go far.

Most of us are aware a lot of optimistic speedometers are out there.
70 MPH was a long time coming even in the alky burning classes.
Congratulations to anyone who honestly runs 70 and best of luck to those who are still trying to make it.
BTW: This is a beautiful boat!

Down here in the south we got in SRG land fishing boats for example a 15 52 weldbuilt with 40 mercury that will run 70 on radar let the motor down to fish mode and run nets are limb lines

U right about that the new 40 makes a lot more power. All my buddy's Run 40s I run a 90 Yamaha and mariner mixed into one motor

Beautiful boats. I would love to drive one and see the hull that lets em turn that sharp and run the motor high at the same time.
