Now that is the perfect spray job.
Are the internals all going to be new or reconditioned ones ?
and whats with the H.O bit ? is it the name for the paint as in Hot Orange ?
definitely good way to smarten the engine up and make it look brand new.
Also why the change in mounting bracket ?
you seem to have gone to the older style clamp bracket once the orange paint was on ?
or is this two different engines we are seeing ?

That H.O is only joke. New series Evinrude has that High Output models. That why i named my evinrude H.O ;)
I change that mounting bracket, becuse that Short mid was old styles. And newer is long midsection. And they dont fit together.

Hello.
First engine test, was horrible. Ignition timing was badly later. Also primer solenoid was open all time.
When i was starting, gearbox was all over to gasoline. Because timing is what is it. Start up, with flame ;)
Before, second starts up test. I must set ignition so much earlier. Now engine ran, wery well. So i went to harbour to test, how motor works.
Few minutes warm up, i saw how water pressure collapse. What a *uck?
I give little gas and saw, how water leak between motor block and exhaus plate.

Four bolt was loosen? The remaining four was dropped off.
How that was happened?
I removed the block and made a new gasket.
Before install, i was clean all thread. They are little greased, maby bolt was loosen because grease?
When I assemble, was used some glue to thread.

Second real test, was our summer cottage.
I put boat to water and saw how water leaking in to boat. But i think, it isnīt too much.
So i start up to engine and try accelerating. But boat was not get speed. I turn back to harbour and start to watch, what happened.
Quick test and I saw to sparkplug wire was off.
At same time I take my ducktape and use that for a leaking spot.

FINALLY!!!
First time to get some speed.
Now engine ran well.

carefully accelerated and feel how speed rises.
My friend was filming that first test run.

Top speed was 52mph.
Couple fast run and timing rod was dropped off. But feeling was pretty good.
This time all bolt was stay on.
