Hello Fred,
Not sure about in Europe, but here in Aus the V6 crossflow CCC when sold as a Johnson had NR19S stamped on the model number plate and the latest 3 Cyl OMC race engine was called an M-31.

Yep, A friend of mine is racing one in our F2/3 series. There are about 5 of them running over here. These are an awsome engine and as it is now if you are not using one of these then you are just taking up racing room. If you want I'll see if I can get some pics of his engine.
Cheers

I have pics but I can not seem to be able to upload them. I will try again to-night, I also tried to send them to David Woodell, but that didn't work either. Worst comes to worst then I'll save them to disk and send them over via snailmail.

I'm going to try that exhaust system next year.
Since the C class is just about dead in Ar., La., Ms., and Tx., I bought a Super E (APBA FE) hydro. We usually have enough Super E's at every race. Now all I have to do is get the boat from Canada to Louisiana, paint it, rig it, build a powerhead, buy a tower, a lower unit, and a few props..... Nothin' to it.
Would probably be a lot easier to buy a complete 250 Rossi or VRP...and cost about the same for similar speed.
