Hey guys! I am trying to figure out "who, what, why and where" when it comes to recharging magnets in flywheels. I've got a '50 Merc KG7 that I have torn down and am near putting it back together. I found multiple issues that may have caused it's running problem, but not one of the issues is the "rock solid" culprit. 1. rings scuffed and rotating, pin backed out of skirt 2. flywheel magnets weak (spark stronger on other cyl.) 3.water intake pipe broken at tower to engine seal (top cyl would run hot while bottom got indirect cooling)
When it comes to the mag, everything was replaced recently. Im fairly sure the magnets in the flywheel are weak and need more energy to get the proper spark. Does/has anyone ever executed such a procedure? Or who can I send this thing to?
