40merc tiller question

Has anyone with this motor ever encountered a tiller throttle thats hard to twist? Gonna mess with it some more tomorrow but just thought I'd ask to speed things up. Thanks

check the jam nut on the handle it may be too tight, check your cable they may have trash or rust in the cover over the cables, check your adjustments if cables are not adjusted properly then it will hard to turn full throttle or idle down all the way.

I shot a little chain live into those cable covers and worked it back and forth a little and it helps out quite a bit
