59ci mercury carburetor

I have been doing some studying up on the different carbs that can be used on a 2002 59ci merc. The carbs between 1991-1997 and 1998-2005 look the same, so can you put a 1995 60hp carb on a 2004 60hp? And I know that the 75hp-90hp and the 100hp-115hp are same physical shape with different size venturis and main jets, but are all the little air holes the same or are there other differences as well?

They may LOOK the same, but the bore size is very different.

Bought a set of 50 hp carbs for a project once and was aghast at how tiny the bore was. I had to eBay them.

Yeah the bores (venturi) are different, the 40 and 50 are restricted more than the 60. but the basic size and shape are the same. I am concerned in the little holes within the carb. The 60,90 and 115 carb and venturi are the SAME with a different sized main jet, but what about all those little air holes?
