Cougar Cub Set up

I have a cougar cub with a35 merc on a CMC trim set up. The cav plate is about3/4in above transom bottom in the center. The boat planes good but from 1/2 throttle on it blows the prop out. Its a 17p stock prop I think. Any help with prop or set up. Thanks

Don't think that hull needs much setback and trim. I'd remove the CNC & then try a cleaver.

I think it has 5-1/2 in set back
