Picture of Pete, Kristi (Ellison) abd Chris Hellsten. As Kristi mentioned
taken about a 100 years ago (actually in the late 60's) in a boat
designed and built by Pete for the Great South Bay of Long Island.

What that Photo is exactally is, The Miss Diablo three with Kenny Kitson winning the World Championship. This is the exact boat that is being brought to events today with Kenny Kitson. These futuristic 18 foot boats at the time when the engine manufacturers conflicts were high were purhased. Licence , molds and all by Carl Kiekhafer for his company so he had say over who got what. Whatever it took to win at that time was done by the factories in a very big way. Bob

Maybe I am not understnading your posts...that is me my dad and my brother Chris in the boat my dad built. Are you saying it was a kit boat by this Kenny guy? We have never been referred to as the Diablo Three as far as I know.

What gas was refering to is my avatar of the Switzer Wing The Miss Diablo Three that Kenny Kitson drove that was being used in my posts. Diablo is a spinoff from Brylcreme hair dressing that was the sponsor and #3 is the third boat and boats were usually named Miss at the time.

By the way i thought the photo that you posted is pretty cute of the three of you.
