tohatsu 50hp tacho installation

Help needed.
Having some trouble finding the tacho signal wire to run a marine tacho Set to 6 pole.
Can anyone tell me what colour wire and it's location please?
My motor is a 2003 tohatsu 50hp 3 cyclinder 2 stroke.

Usually, you use one of the wires coming from the stator to the rectifier/ voltage regulator. For some reason, only one of these two wires will work--seen this twice of late. Try one wire and if no joy, then the other one.
