how to remove oil ijection gear on 60 merc?

Hi , I want to remove the oil injection gear from a 59ci 60 merc. Dose anyone know how to remove them .

1. remove the linkage to the oil pump.
2. remove the oil pump and pull out the pump driveshaft (it kind of "unscrews" as you pull it out).
3. reinstall the pump with only the o-ring seal in place (you're plugging the hole with a disabled pump)
4. replace the length of fuel line where the oil line tees in with a straight piece of fuel line (I use yellow Tygon everywhere).
5. take off the oil warning module and tuck away any excess wiring (except tan wire).
6. connect the tan wire from cylinder head temp switch to the engine harness tan wire so you still have an overheat alarm.
7. You can leave the tank or remove it... For drag race, you "COULD" convert it to a gas tank!??
