Nothing short there, I'd bet the sides are 24 inches high...

Notice PORDUCTION BOAT, BIG SIGN BOARD SIDES, and NOTE, a real sponsor...

I wish we raced DeSilva Boats with cross flow Quincy/Mercs....

When I had an OMC 25 short on a BU it was high on the boat. The Tudor probably is way bigger. Looks like it moves out.

:) The boat was 14 feet long but it was not heavy and
it ran good and a lot of fun to drive it
The boats in this class were Penyan and Yellow Jackets and some crosby

Is there any relationship between Tommy Tudor and Jack or Rick Tudor (who raced PRO in Fla. in the 70's)?

Not that I know he never talked about having any brothers
Tommy drove my uncles A and B in 1958 and 59

Sorry to dredge up this old thread, but my brother sent me a photo of two boats in a Texas antique store yesterday. One is a "Tudor Craft" Lubbock runabout and I'm not sure what builder on the shovel nose hydro. The 100-T runabout says "Tudor Craft" and "Lubbock" on the coaming.

Benny Bob Baron who started this thread lived in Lubbock for awhile I believe. Sadly, he passed away several years ago, or maybe we could have gotten some more information.

Note: Race boats in Texas were not required to have a Texas registration number until about 1973 or 74. So that canvas deck hydro apparently was still racing after the law was passed. Guess it came down from Minnesota.

Follow-up: The G-11 hydro in the Texas antique store in previous post has been I.D.'d by a previous owner and they are looking in to re-acquiring their boat. Will look forward to seeing a restoration!?

Looks like an early Sid-Craft, maybe 58

Checking with the Texas vehicle registration department may yield some information on the manufacture of TX 5075 XJ.
Worth a try!

The original owner(s) formerly living in Austin, Minnesota contacted me thru the post above with the pictures and they know the boat all too well. Hoping they are able to re-unite with it and get it restored.
