With all the talk about the car stuff lately , can anyone remember Art Kennedy the boat racer? Be nice to hear some things relative.

Art ran UI in region 7 against my dad in 74, I think he was #147 at the time.
Art won just about every race I saw that year. The next year I think he started racing for the OMC factory team. He was an excellent driver and a class act, I don't think I ever heard any one say anything negative about him.
I hope I can find a picture to post, I will look.

I have just aquired a former OMC boat that Art drove in the late '70s and
I will do a complete restoration on including the installation of an
Evinrude CCC, I will post pictures soon.

Art had to be one of most underrated drivers. I saw him win in S-Class at St. Marys Ohio in the late 70's. Also saw him drive a GW invader v-bottom to the absolute limit, when he got back to the pits he got a standing ovation from the likes of Jon Culver, Bill Downard, Bill Combs, the last two founders of Checkmate boats, and Bill Petty. Nuff said. I'm sure John Schubert has some stories.
