Hi,
What was the difference between SJ and JP? They both ran the 1500XS?

I recall SJ's being tunnels and JP's being V-bottoms. Same engines. I believe that a JP could race with SJ's, but not the other way around.

JP meant J "Production" and was limited to fibreglass, monohull runabouts (Allisons, Hydro streams, etc....)
SJ meant "Sports" J and allowed modified hulls including tunnels, one off wooden monohulls and cut down production vee hulls.
