This e-mail is from Dick Snyder...It said CONFIDENTIAL, but I'll take my chances...I think Dick would want it posted..
Hi Ron,
I'll be providing some comments on your E-mail to me in a day or so, but
for now, in case you hadn't heard yet, I just received a call from my only
Godson, Alan Garbrecht, telling me that his dad, Gary, died of a heart
attack today while playing golf in Florida. Alan was naturally quite shaken
and didn't have any other details other than he would immediately be
returning to be with his mother, Marsha. Gary was 63. I hired Gary as a
kid, practically right out of high school in the very early 60s to be one
of my first mechanics, in my fledgeling Hydrodynamics lab at Mercury.

RON'S ADD:
Here is an E-Mail from Gary dated February 3, 2005....to me.
We were seriously talking of Co-Driving together at the BRF'S Parker 350 Marathon.....We'll have to put those plans on hold....
Hi Ron,
I have the entry list for the Parker race in 1970, some ol' timers names in there, e-mail me a fax number and I will send you a copy, you will enjoy seeing it, unfortunately, many of them are now gone, but it sure brings back some great memories.
My last ride was in 1970 at Parker, my co-driver was Don Pruett and I broke the boat at 45 minutes so Don never got in it, the big Indian was mad !
Regards,
GG
