Dave Bryan and I were out last Friday, February 22, 2008. I told Dave I wanted him to meet Cragi Ferguson. Craig had the Fountain that was too long for the Catalina Ski Race, so Craig had the officials measure the boat's length, and then he took a Sawsall to the nose...(See picture)... Craig did win that Ski Race....He's a family man and GREAT GUY...

CRAIG FERGUSON - BIO
Craig is the President of Ferguson Auto Center, Inc. A large Automobile, Truck, SUV, RV and Marine Service Center and Auto Parts store in Garden Grove, California, a successful enterprise since 1981. A resident of Huntington Harbor since 1979, he is very well respected and active in his community, including being elected the 1996 and 1997 Huntington Beach Grand Marshall for all the Christmas holiday festivities and the Huntington Harbour Boat Parade and Cruise of Lights. He donates some 200 hours a year to the Huntington Harbour Philharmonic Committee that in turn donates well over $100,000.00 to the Orange County Schools music programs.
Craig and his wife Diane have 3 children, Garrett, C.J, and the youngest, Cory who is an integral member of the Renegade Offshore Powerboat Race Team.
Craig has 38 years of racing prowess. Beginning, in automotive, racing Go-Karts, Drag Racing in Pro-Stocks and a Top Gas Dragster and 10 years driving a Class 2 OffRoad Race Car. Craig's expertise was furthered by being selected to crew for the International Race of Champions (IROC) for 2 years and a true highlight of his career; a Team and Pit-Crew member for the Jorgenson Steel Indy Car in 1977 and a Pit-Crew member for the Dick Simon Indy Car race team in 2000.
From there he transferred to his real true passion; Boat Racing, including 20 years of Drag Boat, Circle-Ski, Marathon-Ski and Offshore Racing. With a B.A. Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Craig’s mechanical and Race engine background allows him to retrieve all the available power from the Engine/Boat combinations.
Craig has placed 1st in more than 50% of the Offshore races he has participated in. He has captured several APBA Class Championships in various offshore classes, is the 1996 North American Modified Champion.
The true pinnacle of his career has been to earn the 1999 and 2000 World Offshore Championship in the lightning fast Modified Class against the top competitors in the world. Craig and the Renegade Race team have been the APBA Western Division and Pacific Offshore Superboat Champions 4 years in a row.
Craig also has commentated occasionally for the televised offshore races on Speed Channel and The Outdoor Channel.
