Omc Problems

I have a Omc 225 V6 96 model on the back of my 17 foot boat and it has some sort of problem. It starts and runs but back fires every now an then and tries to run backwards. Any ideas.

check to see if it sheared the flywheel key and spun the flywheel. Your timing would be off if the flywheel has moved even a litttle bit.

seen the center magnets move on the fly wheel. that also will make it do as you said.:cool:
