BRF Speed Records (http://www.boatracingfacts.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=114)

I sure wish you and others with different kinds of boats would post your speeds on BRF Speed Records.

Start your own post with boat size, motor specs and your speeds. First off, I'm interested in your speed and I know others are too. Secondly, I think someone might have a boat like yours that would go faster....

It that a billet head on the Tohatsu?

There are two boats in this post, right...are both on 302 mid sections?

I believe it to be the same mid section and g'box, not sure if it's same powerhead. The boat in the pic i posted parted company with that motor just prior to me owning the boat, i started out with a 25 toey on it. some blokes from sydney ended up with the motor, looks like they've got their sights set on more than the 25hp. Australian kilo record.
good luck fella's:)

All correct Mercguy except it is an M40C bottom cowl or belly pan that has had some mods to suit our needs.

Boatnut the colour scheme was to match the tunnel but thats tied to the roof of the garage at the moment in need of some repairs again:mad:
Thanks for the photo that was a while ago and the motor has gone through a LOT of changes since then whole new power head back to single carby for now that is, it had its first on water test yesterday we got it bolted to voodoo (see pic of black and red mono) 90 km/h but motor too low and needs more trim (easy fixed)

Ron will look at posting speeds the pics of the motor on its own are of the motor in its present state the pic of the motor on the mono on the water was a few years ago now but "basically" the same motor, the motor was built for 550 cc supersport class here in Australia basically anything goes as long as its under 550cc capacity, this motor "did" hold the national speed record in the late 90s with a speed of 108 km/h average over 2 km.
Yeah that is a billet head!!!

Gday 850cc

I saw the same thing that you did. My mate Steve (voodoo) was behind the wheel that day. He was behind the wheel a few months later when we had the 550 motor on it and it did a similar thing at Windsor only when it came back down the ply on the side of the sponson decided to come away from the boat.
