The new OZ Bergess 25hp Tunnel

This was custom built for myself in November 2008 and finaly have this thing humming now, all marine timber/epoxy. The builder genraly makes F1 and F2s here in Australia. This class (25hp stock open hull) is nearly the same as your GT class there but we have no weight restrictions and can run race props.

850 good to see your still running Dericks old boat i used to run an 850 also. I did see that yellow tunnel I was keen to look at it when it was on e-bay.As for the helmet its just a Nolan open face with a viser and I had a mate who is a sign writer go crazy with the orange

yeh its still going strong, had it 5 years and havent touched the motor.. will be at the end of may though!! :eek:
yeh the tunnel i think was a bargain, im just rebuilding the motor on that as it did blow up when i first took it out :o but we live and learn.. the helmet looks really good!!

The hull was built as he went so not sure how mutch $? this would be I beleve DeSilver over there had tunnel plans for these Yamato tunnel kneel down tunnels there are a few of thoese running around here now. As for the cone we are allowed to build these using car bog and fair it in but we canot change the water pick ups this has to stay stock. The props are around the 101/4 x 18P or 101/4 x19P cleavers there are some choppers running around but I get the best resaults with the Winrace cleaver (at the moment)

Yes Tohatsu is the way to go good allround power and gear ratio is better than the other models. As for the wing boats they are a good all round hull if you have a look at the class web site www.25hpracing.com.au and look at driver profile Marcus Poole his blue and white wingboat is called a "Drop Deck" he is moulding this at the moment and will be ready for production by next week. In US dollors the hulls will be around the $800.00 mark ready to fit out. This is to help people to get into the sport on a budget and progress from there.

Hey Steve good to here from you. I have just sold the tunnel its going to Melbourne on Saturday so I wont get a chance to try it in the Kilo my fastest run was 97.3kph with a 4 blade 10 x 17p cleaver. I'm 1/2 way building a 2.0lt HP on a 1650 Bullet and OzBurges is building a Cell and rear cawling as well so thats were the cash is going. Wen I have pics I wll post them. What are you up to?
