Hi Skoontz,

My son races a Winrace in JT250 in the UK. He has achieved speeds of around 43-44mph in race trim with a 15hp Yamaha. He has won various British Championships and has achieved bronze medal positions in 2007 European Championship and 2008 World Championships. In 8 weeks time we will be in Estonia for the 2009 World Championships where he is hoping to improve on his Bronze medal positions.

The boats are built and designed by Olle Tejersen and are built to a very high standard. We are waiting delivery of a new 30 Evinrude E-Tec to start developing GT 30 in the UK ( Green alternative) This has already started in Scandinavia where they are using the 30 hp four stroke Tohatsu.

Olle speaks very good English.
When Ben returns from school I'll get him to post some pictures of him in action.:)

These pictures were taken at Oulton Broad in May 2007. This actually happened in practice. Only superficial damage to the boat and Ben was out to compete in the 1st heat. This was his first 'wetting'. We thought it was quite impressive for a first time especially in a junior.

These pictures are taken from the GT15 World Championships held in Osthammar Sweden in July 2008. We are looking at introducing the green classes into the UK so last year we purchased a Four Stroke Yamaha 15 to put onto the Winrace Hull and compete in the WC. We had no testing time before going. Our testing was done in practice and the actual races. We'd gone for a holiday and to learn what the Scandinavians are trying to do.
Their idea is for the competitor to purchase a hull to compete in GT15 and when they are old enough and have the experience just change the engine to a 30hp but using the same boat.

Hi Adrian, have you got any homologation of the 30 Etec yet? I`ve requested the UIM but have not got any answer.... I`m planning to race the GT 30 next year.

Wish that we could get these classes going on a national level
here in the states.......they look like they would be a gas to
drive (and affordable to race).

Do you have and English translation for your website? All of
my Norwegian-speaking relatives are either no longer with
us or live too far away to ask for help in the translation.

Got the site up and is pretty interesting......you guys have those
little boats rockin'. When I do any pleasureboating, it is on a lake
with a 25 horsepower limit and these would be ideal for that lake.

It seems that they have a similar V-bottom class for kids down in Australia.

Ollie's contact details are on the preceding page or PM Taffy97 who has a license to build them in the UK. He is away at the World Championships at the moment but should reply next week.
