motor has been sitting up for many years cleaned carbs and was runnig fine then died no spark on any cylinder, can any one tell me were to start looking for the problem? maybe how to test with ohm meter?

disconnect the black yellow from the power pack

i tried that it didnt do any thing

with that disconnected next do an output test on the 2 brown wires

can you please be a little more specific i am not real smart with electronics key on/off there is a few wires that look brown to me

well there are only 2 browns and if the black yellow is disconnected the key means nothing any more, if you do not have a meter to test it you can't diagnoss it. you should have 150V on the browns at cranking, .3 to .5 at cranking on the timer base, if you have those 2 outputs then the pack is bad.

ok the two browns have less than 10 volts while winding the motor

if your test was good, stator is junk, change it.:cool:

i changed stator and power pack, ran fine for an hour reved it up and it lost fire. that was the same thing it did last time. anybody know why?

did you check that with a peak reading voltmeter?

no my meter dont read peak

check the flywheel for cracks
or you may have some wires thouching:)
