The E C Griffith Cup Australia's most prestigious event has been won by Tattoo owner driver Matt Ferris from the strong power boat racing community of Windsor about 60 miles north west of Sydney.
Tattoo is an inboard tunnel boat, with a blown big block chev.
Second was Annihilator 3
Third was Annihilator 2
The Annihilator team from across the Tasman (New Zealand) came prepaired with 3 boats all of which qualified for the final, with Annihilator 1 spitting off the blower belt.
This event has been conducted since 1912 not being conducted during the world wars. Reputadly one of the oldest motor sport throphies in the world. It is an Unlimited Open Inboard event, which means anything with an inboard can enter. This year saw 2 tunnel's, 1 Rolls Royce powered unlimited hyrdo, 7 GP Hydro class boats, 2 Blown Displacements even a 6 litre injected displacememnt, and some others I am not sure what class.
And of course, heres a picture (its a big one)
