That's a GW Invader or a copy of one. They were made in Indiana.

That is an Invader. The copies had a wide pad in the center. The end grain balsa between the bottom and the sub floor probably is soaked and needs to be redone, along with the seat bottoms.

Thank you for the info. The boat is in Central Wisconsin near Stevens Point zip code 54481 about 2 hours north of Madison, WI. or 4 Hours north of Chicago. I bought it a few years ago for a project but never even took it out of the shed until a month ago. I think I may put it on ebay. Is it worth $100, $500 or more??? I suppose its worth what ever someone is willing to pay. Thanks again.

Before you do that would you consider selling it direct?

I have some logistics to work out but would be interested in it.

skoontz is right about the wider pad. i have had 2 of these g w invaders (still have one). the older ones 1965 to early 1970's had a metal tag on each side of the motor splash well that was riveted on. there would be 2 small holes on each side. the newer ones and the copies had decals. when my kids were young i had a 9.9 rude on it, even with 2 small adults it planed off and ran pretty good. now i have a 35 merc and it runs about 45 mph maybe a little over that. they were made in a glorified pole barn in sharpsville, in. they also made some 14 footers and a few tunnel hulls in 15 ft. back in the day the straight six mercs on the 14 footers really flew

When I was growing up, there was a guy on Rice Lake in Canada that had a 95 inline six Merc on a 10' GW invader. He had to jump on the deck when he slowed down. If the water was real calm at rest it would not take on water over the back. It really didn't run that good. 50 horse works real nice on these boats.

Very hard to plane on a 10' Invader. I had a 55HP Rude two holer with trim and tilt, kicked under all the way Hendrich had to do some magic for me to even get off the wave. But then thats with the prop shaft about an inch under the bottom

It's definitely a GW invader. Here is a pic of a nicely restored one at the Silver Lake meet last year. It was running a merc 500 around 40mph.

They also made very few 13 footers...one of the old dinosaurs in our club used to work for GW back in the day. I think mine actually measures out at 13'4". It'll be going up for sale in the next week or two.
