In a racing incident in the second heat I lost my boat cowling..
My good friend Alan Nimmo from GB let me use his Molinari cowling..
He had an engine problem..
Well..the Molinari cowling did not fit perfect..but duct tape as always fixed that problem..no time to change race number..but the officials know that boat 8 was now boat 15

Those early V-8's were tall and enormous. Surely the boats handled much better when OMC came out with the newer version, which put the powerhead like 8 inches lower with a redesigned mid section. Correct me if I am wrong but didn't these early V-8's have 8 two barrel carburetors?
