Nice company..
In the Paris race my boat #8 and Tom Percivals boat #10 had the same sponsor..
International Travel Card.
We lost driver Luigi Valdono in Holland and Gerard Barthelemy in Paris.

Lars:
Perhaps you mentioned it earlier, but if so I missed it.
Why were you now using a Burgess boat instead of the Clerici that you had liked so much?
Did Clerici not make a boat for SE class versus the Burgess used in OE?
Bill
Hi Bill,
Clerici boats was perfect for the SD and SE class..but in OE/F-3 Burgess boats was way better than Clerici.
Again, thanks for reading here.
Same red AKAI/Burgess boat but in Italy..Idroscalo 1981..Looks like Michael Werner in boat #7..I just got this picture from a friend in Italy..
Over the years I raced many different boats and classes..
From small SD boats to the really fast and dangerous F1-V8..
I traveled to see Jimbo McConnell a few years ago in Needles, CA and we talked old racing and had a really good time.
Jimbo took use up in the mountains and I watched him fly his RC air planes..
We both agree on one thing.. that a good OE/F-3/Mod 50 was the most fun class to race.
To bad the class is not active any more..a good OE/F-3/Mod 50 boat easy
goes over the 100 MPH point..
Thanks Jimbo..time for me to visit Needles, CA again
Time to make an offer..!!:)
