Pic #2, Greg Hall from Toronto Canada in blue coveralls. And a batch of Willowdale Onions !! (They'll know what I mean) In the center in this shot and with Greg at the driver meeting shot below is a good friend of mine Paul Guerin. He drove for me when I pooched my back in the early 80's.
Good driver too.
Wayne, thank you so much for all the great pictures. I have been looking for pictures of my dad and found one at a drivers meeting. I believe it was picture 44. It is funny to see him when he was my age now. Please keep posting these pictures. Hopefully there will be more of my dad. I can still remember in San Antonio we went and stayed the night at your dad's house. The gumbo was awesome, catching lizards at the house was a blast and the boat inside the house was something a 8 or 9 yr old thought was so cool.
I'm glad you got to taste some of my Dad's famous gumbo. My dad loved entertaining friends--especially hunting and boat racing buddies. There have been racers from all over the US to Canada, Germany and Australia to sample his cooking. I remember a kid catching Gecko's off the wall and glass door under the lights. I guess that was you.
I have lots more of your dad to post. I kind of go with the wind. When somebody I know pops up, I look for a picture. So I put you other guys on notice, if you think I may have a picture of you, sign in. If I missed you signing in,...post something.
Hey Wayne, remember when your dad was cooking after a boat race in your front yard, and he was cooking on the gridle in the house. He was cooking steaks. He had a gallon container of habernero juice sitting beside the stove and would dip the spatula in it before he would turn the steaks. Some of the boys from up north were trying very hard to scape the black pepper off the steaks, but what they didn't realize was that it wasn't the black pepper that was lighting them up. Baldy laughed with that deep belly laugh of his and oh, how he liked to have fun!!!!

Jeff, although I'm not Ron, and he certainly can speak for himself, that is a 49cube OE/Mod 50 engine. Not sure what configuration they ran as the OE engines pulled more HP on the dyno then the Mod 50's, or at least some configurations did.Originally Posted by Jeff Akers
