I set up a vintage Hydrostream a while back and went with a SeaStar mechanical steering kit—worked great for me. You can mount it under the dash, and it feels really smooth. I'd check eBay or some of the Hydrostream forums if you're looking for a used one. I’ve seen some good deals come up occasionally, just gotta keep an eye out!
