    Default Jack Plate Help

I am looking for a manual jack plate, 4" setback. Most of the jack plates I see are wide, the top mount holes are 12 7/8" apart, on my motor the top holes are 9.5" on center, bottom is 5"

It's a 40HP Yamaha going on a Minihawk. I am looking for something sized for this engine, no need for extra weight or bulk on this little boat. Are the two piece jack plates solid when mounted? I like the idea if everything being tied together in the one piece but maybe that's not necessary?

For the jack plates that have a solid plate across the back, you can redrill to your pattern. If you get the two piece jackplate design, you can move them in to whatever width you want. You'll probably still need to redrill at least two of the holes.
